Notes
SKU is the only product field which is required to create a product.
Status is required for the product to show up in the admin backend.
There are certain fields which appear “required” in the Magento backend screen, but when creating products using the API, the system will allow blank values in some of these fields. When you go into the Admin backend, however, you will be unable to save the product until the required fields have been completed.
It is our recommendation that all required fields be filled out.
